Look at the size of this Largemouth Bass. If anything is caught that is this long in Southern USA or Mexico 22.4 lbs is not going to remain the world recrord at all. Most likely 25 lbs plus. This bass would have been much bigger then the current record if it was a fat fish.

38 1/4 inches? I'd agree that the fish would have been 25+ pounds if it were that big.

If you read the article they did not make that fish a world record. It was not properly weighed and documented. I have heard of another 36 inch Largemouth being caught out of Florida.

Whats the big deal, I catch them this size all the time! Wait that's not a striped bass!
