so i picked up 3 largemouth and need info if they can survive outside in a pond without a heater?? and wondering if its ok? they are about 2-3inch long also the weather i am in is california LA if they can be left outside? thxs

and any info about them be nice thanks again :D

As long as the pond doesn't freeze through they'll be fine, if they can survive a Midwest winter a winter in LA will be like club med

so far they are in my frontosa tank which is 100g 2 canister tank. So when will be a good time to put them in my pond they are currently still small? so far they are getting along with all 9 frontosa and stingray lol.
but why are they so aggressive to each other? and not the frontosa? should i put my drift wood in the pond? i have about 100lb drift wood 2 pc?

also do i need a airstone in the pond?
thxs again.

How bigs your pond, an they will be totaly fine in the pond depending on the size you proly wont need a air pump but its good to put a power head or something that moves the water so it dosnt get stagnent.

sounds good my pond is about 3ft deep and size of a kidney bean. so they can deal with the cold at night and winter in LA?

also so they are hardy fish then? like gars for example? or even koi's?

Lol seriously? Have you never been fishing? Largemouth bass is something that is caught everywhere.....wow...

I've kept 5 lmb together all around 3-5" in a 100 gallon before. Wasn't a good idea, one of the LMB became the superior one.. he always nip and bit the rest of the group. For some reason, they don't get along =/ But if you put them in the pond, i think they will do better.
