Just picked up a dozen LMB's. They range in size from 2-5 inches. What do they eat? I asked the guy at the hatchery and he told me to feed them "pellets". What I'm not sure about it exactly what pellets.

So far I tried all of the below and they haven't even tried eating yet:

Cichlid Pellets
Frozen Brine Shrimp
Frozen Blood Worms
Flakes (I knew this wouldn't work)
Dried Shrimp
Dried Minnows
Live Mosquito Fish
Guppy

and nothing... =(

PLEASE HELP! Maybe they're not hungry? Maybe they'll only eat every couple of days? I don't know, but I'm not willing to find out I did something wrong if they end up belly up.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.:(

I fed mine Cichlid Pellets when he was like a 2inch he had a really hard time eating them but he did. Those are the only thing he eats now. But now he eats them now problem cuz hes like 4inch

They won't eat until they are comfortable. How long have you had them?

Welcome to MFK!!!

You might want to try offering them some live blackworms/frozen bloodworms to get them feeding. Always feed from the same spot in the tank. Once you get them used to a location regimen, you can switch gradually to prepared foods.
My bass took Dense Culture granules from the beginning since this is what he got at the hatchery. I bought the feed from aquaticeco.com
Good Luck

Mine ate right away, was wild caught at 1". Started with bloodwurms and my native collection, then dried krill, then pellets, then my hand. He'll eat anything now.

Any idea where I can order live bloodworms from? Thanks :)

You don't need it, they should take frozen.

They will when they are comfortable.
