My friend said your not aloud tobecause there game fish but on my last thread people said they ate them so im assuming they take them after catching them. I was jw if it was legal? do they have to be a certain size? someone mentioned take only 1-2 lbers as they arent breedable yet.

Laws vary by state but Im sure its legal to take them within a certain size, even in Nazi Germ... I mean California. Google Cali fishing regulations and you should find size restrictions.

Around 14"-16" depending on girth. Check the regs for each place you plan on fishing, as rules can change from lake to lake as much as they change from state to state.

I know a couple of people here in RI that have some bass and bluegill in there tanks. idk if its legal or not but check before you take them home.

i took a 2" largemouth i caught yellow perching in the fall. hes resided in my tank ever since. Hes now around 10 inches. I never got in trouble.

Just because you never got in trouble doesn't mean it is right to do it. The students that I teach try to use this excuse all the time.
