My largemouth is doing very well. He's probably grown about an inch in the month I've had him. He eats goldfish, minnows, blackworms, nightcrawlers and market shrimp. I'm currently in the process of phasing out the live minnows and goldfish. The other day he took market shrimp just fine. The next step is getting him on pellets which I don't think will be very difficult since he readily took market shrimp.
He is also unusually active at all times of the day. I've noticed that when I shut off the lights, the peacock bass and bluegill suspend in one spot. It appears that they are sleeping. However, the LMB is constantly on the move. Anyone know why my LMB never sleeps/suspends?

I love the yellowness. I hope mine looks like that someday!

it will calm down in the afternoons eventually, they are on the move for food in the mornings and also at night. Also depend on what is going on around the tank even though the lights are off.

Looks good !

LMB love to feed all through the night and into early morning. During the day they usually shut down and don't roam as much.

This guy is constantly on the move 24/7. Even when I've fed him to the point where he is doing his best Rosie O'Donnell impersonation, he is still swimming back and forth in the tank. Even when his tankmates are sound asleep, he is on the go. I could be playing Cod Mw2 at 3am when the whole living room is pitch dark and every living thing in the house is asleep, I look over and there he is in darkness swimming back and forth while the peacocks and blugill are sleeping. I just want him to chillax once in a while.
