I know many of you have boats and throw spinnerbaits and other baits like that. but what if I don't have a boat what lures or bait should I be using in New England??

I went fishing today and I saw some 12" LMB but they did not bite the Nightcrawlers or the spinnerbait. why didn't they bite?? is it because of the spawing season or were they already full by the time I went fishing at 6:30PM???

sometimes bass just don't bite. i have had experience bounceing lures on bass and they don't even react. In these situations you just have to have a variety of lures on you and keep throwing something, until something catches there attention.

Must haves at all times in a fishermans box/bag/boat.

spinnerbaits- different colors. rec- White, chartruce, w/c, Black.
buzzbaits- more of a summer bait, and very effective when bass are active top feeding.
crankbaits- all sorts, all sizes, all colors. -- lipless, square lip, round lip, DT6's-16's, etc,etc,etc...
soft plastics- lizards, senko's (3-5" green), hula grubs-love em, tubes. (i keep hundreds of bags of everything under the sun in a briefcase for tourneys).

There's a million things to throw and so little time to throw them. Keep trying till you find something that sticks. bass are attracted to lures they haven't seen before. so if your fishing a major tourney lake, you can bet they've seen a few spinner baits in there days. so try something you haven't seen other people throwing. (many varieties of soft plastics to play with).

Top waters
and the classic 5-7" berkley power worm rigged on a gamagastzu 1/0 hook always catches soft plastics are a must have

Trust me, every good fishermen has had their fair share of bad days! Ive fished for bass for a whole summer when i started bassin last summer, only half dozen fish, now i get a fish almost every day. Just change it up. You'll be suprised
