Are there any larger synodontis species that would be okay with some larger polypterus species and datnoids? I love the look of them and their active nature but I've only ever dealt with little petricolas that topped out at maybe 4". I've heard Angelicus and decorous get larger but wasn't sure if there were many species that were 8"+
Also there's s. schall that reach 14" SL, s. tanganaicae grows to 19" SL and the largest, s. longirostris that can reach 22" SL, rare and $$ if you can find one...
That Hemisynodontis is sweet! Ill have to look into them. Ive been doing some research and it sounds like if I can find some theres a couple species that would fit my goal size range. preferably 9 or 10" and up range. decorus, granulosus, eupterus, pardalis, multipunctatus, longirostris, clarias and schall all seem like they could do alright with some larger polys. time to start searching!
