Just curious how many people have large tanks on either the second floor or higher of their house or apartment complex? I have a 125g, 75g, 46g, two 20g and a 26g on the second floor of my home. Occasionally I wonder if one will find its way onto the first floor. Just curious to see what other people keep above ground level.

I was wondering the same thing . I have a 125 a 55 and a 40 breeder on the second floor also. I tried to convince my mom in law to let me put my 125 in our living room but she doesnt want my nephews hitting the tank with their toys when she baby sits them so I have no choice but to put in my room. My guess it had to do with how strong your home is. For example in my house most of the second stories floor boards a roten a need to be replaced. I replaced the bathroom and my bed rooms floor boards before I set up my tank.hope I dont have to do itagain when I set up my 125.

In my old Victorian house from early 1900's I have a 55,15,and 10. Nothing too big. Just not gonna put another large tank on here. The rest are going in the cemented basement

Kept a 55 on the 5th floor of an apartment building in Grand Rapids. Would probably have a 75 there if I still lived there.

I live in a Townhouse and it's built on a hill and I have 4 tanks that are above ground but no one is under them- 240, 120, 75 and a 20. Sometime this summer I'm going to go under the floor and reinforce with steel tubing as I plan on adding a 360 :)

A couple years ago I was renting a house with some friends. In my second floor bedroom I had a 50 26 and 90. My cat knocked over the canister on the 90 and about eight gallons of water went through the kitchen ceiling.
