I have a200 gallon tank and when I change the water I use a siphon gravel vacuum to get the water out. Then I use the water hose and fill up two large coolers full of water to condition the chlorine from them. After that I pump the water from the coolers into the tank. Does anyone have a better system to skip the cooler step? I looked into the attachments for garden hoses that say they filter out chlorine and chemicals but in the fine print they all say "not tested for aquarium and fish use". Anyone have ideas?

Most everyone has a better system. Pour the dechlorinator in the tank, fill the tank up.

again dose the tank, then fill, no need to dose water before adding to the tank, just dose the tank and fill.

and as always dose for size of tank, not water replacing.

Yup that's what I do, drain with a python. Dump in the Prime near the python and refill with temperature matched water. And dose for the whole water volume of tank and filters.

Depends on my fish. My kamfa gets water that sits for a week. I have a 50 gallon or 40 gallon brute trash can? I think it is, that I refill after each water change and let it sit. I have a heater and an airstone inside the plastic bin. I just pump it out of there. Then afterwards I refill it with tap water and prime and pump it into my other tank.

Mine is better yet...
On a well, no prime required!
I have an even better method. My water literally falls from the sky! I just collect it into a big tank and it supplies my whole house with nice clean water!

Ok, the water starts out clean, but the gutters are full of leaves and slugs and spiders and all kinds of gross little greeblies, but the fish don't care about that as much as I do.:)
