What is the ultimate size of different Vieja species? What are the largest and smallest Vieja fish you have seen or kept?

I think most exceed 12" no problem but only Bifasaciatus , Zontas, Synsplium and Black Belts move past 15" in my experience. Not to say that they can't I've just never seen it. Seems like this is a loaded question though are you interested in keeping some and are looking for a smaller or slower growing species because of tank size?

Argentea, Hetrosplius, Regani, and Breidohri all seem to grow slow in my experience with them.

I am relatively new in keeping Vieja species. I had a 3 year old synspillum male that hits 12 inch, 1 year male fenestratus at 9 inch, 9 month pink fenestraus at 7 inch, 9 month bifas at 6 inch, and a 9 month melanuras at 4.5 inch. The slowest growing Veija is the melanuras as it started out the same size as the bifas, but grew 1/3 slower or smaller. I haven't seen too many full grown Vieja species in LFSs except for Black Belt and Synspillum, and want to know the ultimate size of each species. I've seen a few Black Belt that passed 15 inch, but never seen a synspillum that passed 12 inch, including my 3 year old male.
