Hello guys. I got 6 tinfoil barbs as dithers for my bass after losing 2 to aggression from the biggest one. Now I am watching in horror as the biggest bass from my group terrorizes these poor tinfoil barbs. This behavior seems abnormal. He constantly has dark stripes running across the top of his back and he looks mean. The tinfoils already have injuries and one of them is occasionally flashing now.

What should I do? Let him beat up on them or take them out and replace them with a more aggressive dither? Do you guys think the flashing tinfoil has a disease? At this point it looks just like physical injuries sustained from the bass but I don't want it to progress into something contagious. Thanks for your replies.

All bass are roughly the same size but the biggest 2 are maybe a half inch bigger than the rest

Upon closer inspecrion, it's actually both of the big guys that are terrorizing the barbs. They both have the mean coloration

All bass are about 3 to 3 1/2 inches and the barbs are about 2 to 2 1/2 inches

Why do you think attacking a fish a predator like P bass would eat in nature to be abnormal?
If your dithers are even remotely smaller than the bass, it will try to eat them

I meant in comparison to how often/brutal the attacks would be on the smaller bass and geos, it seemed abnormal. Is there something about the tinfoils that would cause the bass to attack them more than other bass or geos?

And the tinfoils are nowhere near mouth size so I know it's not that
