Largest. cichlid.

I would like to know what the largest cichlid in the aquaria hobby is, Oscars are up there but what else is there.

You'll get no argument from me. I keep both. At least the tem tolerates tankmates.

Me either. I'm more of a B. Microlepis fan myself, and believe it's a huge fish in the wild even though there isn't alot of data on size recordings. And records I think show C. Tem as being larger as far as world record. (though C. Tem is a sport fish and B. Micro might not be which might lead to the less data) My new 18" B. Microlepis isn't bad with attitude yet..
