largest largemouth bass

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i kept a 7 pounder the other day..................and i ate him.

I'm pretty sure that's not what he's asking, maybe we should answer the actual question. :)

I have never kept my basses for very long so my largest were probably around 5". I plan on keeping my current pair for a longer period of time.

9 lbs....not mine but my old science teacher had a 400 gallon tank with 2 large mouths and three monster bluegill.

the largest bass i ever kept was 1.5in. i also dont like to eat lg mouth bass, i dont think they taste bad but i just dont like to kill a beautiful fish like that. but give me a panfish and ill eat it right up, yummy!

pike, muskie, and pickerel are all the same family of fish except for slight pattern, fin shape, and size variations (among other things....you get the idea).
They all suspend until its time to eat......then they hit like a lightening bolt. They also have an appetite for unusually large fish compred to themselves sometimes.

Trust me - I've been learning this as I document the Muskies.
