So most sources state that the largest size for a full grown male trimac is somewhere between 12 and 16 inches. I am just wondering what is the largest male that someone here has seen in person (not just heard about.)

I think it was about 5 or 6 years old at the time if I remember correctly, it was a long time ago. My Tri is in my avatar that pic is from about 4 months ago.
The biggest I saw was a 14 inch. Huge powerful beast it was. 16" would be amazing to see. Are these guys more aggressive than Red Devils? They look pure evil, mainly their red eyes. Great fish.
Mine is just way too aggressive, he kills anything i put in the tank. He's a glass banger! but they are a real nice looking fish
