What is the largest type of freshwater lobster or crayfish that is somewhat commonly purchasable?

Cherax quads (12"), and depending on your area (I can get them easily here, but up one state it's impossible) Cherax cainii and Cherax tenuimanus (16").
Cherax quads are relatively cheap and they show up in most LFS except for states that they've been banned in. Cherax cainii and teruimanus show up in a lot of places but are easier to purchase online. Everything else is relatively hard to find or have imported, or not going to fall under "the largest type".

You can have them imported once a year but they are horrendously expensive and a lot of places don't want to put in the effort to have them shipped. I saw them once last year, but I couldn't afford $200/ea ... sooooooo want one though.
any chance you remember who did import them, and when this happens, i would definatly fork over $200 to own one,
