piraya, have been said to get to 24", though i have only seen up to 21"

but rhoms, have been said to get to 30", i was looking into one, until i reliazed the money the guy wanted. unfortunnatly i never got pics of the fish. though you ussally never see them over 18" in the hobby. and those are wild caught.

so your choices would be, ethier piraya- which are almost impossible to get know, even the tiny ones

or more likely crank out the money and buy a 18" rhom, probly along the lines of $1000+

for a rhombeus of that size get a tank with a footprint of atleast 6'x2', or 180 gallons.

If you are looking for a large piranha to show off as a centre piece, get a rhom. They look dangerous and you can purchase them at very big sizes. (never buy a small rhom and think you can grow it to equally big sizes in the aquarium).

As for aggression, it is debatable between piranhas and reliant on individuals. But again, rhoms are generally known to be aggressive when eating.
