largish docile and colorful?

I have a 75g with some polypterus. I am in the market for one or two more fish for the tank. Can anyone recommend a cool cichlid for the rest of the water column?
Where do pike cichlids normally hangout in the tank?

I would go with a green severum

i keep my polys with freddy, jags, RTM, convicts, Flowerhorn, carpinte and the only one that ever bothers it is my female freddy and only when the ornate drifts into the very back corner of the tank she resides in.
So i guess i would just suggest any CA that gets to only about 10" or so
