last ideas before i buy?

well i am finnaly getting a chance to get to the reptile store tommarow and once again i have a 20 long, i would love to get a gater snake but my gf doesnt want one, does any one have any last suggestions???? (for inhabitance):feedback: :mwave:
 
Sounds like you need to do some research to find out what you want, then do more research to find out how to keep it and if you even can.

But my suggestion would be to look into corn snakes.
 
Corns are definatly the way to go. Buy a baby...that will give the B...ahhhh your girl friend time to get attached to it before it grows...
 
hahaha, and i do know my stuff, i have done my research i have had iguanas and such in the past so i know what i am getting into, ya i wish but my gf strictly said no snakes sorry
 
Hey what your girl don`t know wont hurt her =)

Try buying a baby RES or even a pacman frog.

If lizards is something you like get a leopard gecko
 
Who cares about your girlfriend? If she tolerate it, then no problem. If she leaves, then it is in the GLORY AND THE NAME OF THE HOBBY! Just don't get anyone hurt, that's where the anti-animal people get involved.
 
Your profile says you're 16. Shouldn't you be worrying more about what your mom says about snakes than what your girlfriend says about them? Hell, I even got married a couple of months ago to a girl who for the longest time said "you don't need anymore snakes Owen!" and just a few weeks ago I bought that new pair of baby blood pythons. She's come around a lot, so maybe your girlfriend would too. Or maybe since you're 16, and I'm guessing you still live at home, you should just go ahead and get a snake if you want one and can care for it. Because you, not your girlfriend, will be the one living with it and taking care of it. If your girlfriend gets upset about it and leaves, then why would you want to be with a girl who doesn't want you to enjoy your hobby anyway?
 
^ i agree. im 17 and have been livign with my girlfriend for almost a year now. and she supports me on everything i do and i support her on everything she does as long as its not something stupid. unless of course this is one of the things where its 'you and ya girls pet' (but of course you have to clean it etc) tell her you get to pick it out if your the one takeing care of it
