last videos of my redtail before he died

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i don't know...
he had a breathing problem around last summer for about a couple of weeks(breathing really hard and not eating)... he got over that.

then developed the problem again around a month before thanksgiving. but this time i got him to eat a little about 3weeks after it started.

then for thanksgiving holiday i went to relatives... came back to check up on them to find my heating went out in the house bringing tank temp down to 63F. all the fish(pacu, TSN, bullheads and the redtail) appaired to be fine except for the ongoing breathing problem for the redtail...
got the heat going... came back to find the heat out again. the water temp 66F but the redtail was on his side, dead.

JW what where u feeding them in the second video. sorry about your loss
i started with nightcrawlers when he was small($1.50-$2.50dz)which got costly.
then shiners from bait store at $3.50dz(in the 90's this bait store didn't care how many they gave you(they were a supplier)... if you asked for a dozen, which was $1.00 you would get more than 100, but that's changed.) and they used to have huge shiner, over 5", $3.50dz.

now i feed them the cheapest fish i can find at the supermarket. currently it's frozon alaskan pollack @ $2.99lb...
in this area there isn't "fish store" like in the city. it's probibly cheaper there

could never get the rtc or tsn to eat pellet which would have been better...
