Very nice. You got three? What are their sizes, growth rates?

I can only post my calcarifer, which went from 2.5" to ~12" in 5 months. No niloticus have I had yet.

Yes have 3 got the first one same time as the vundu 3 years ago he was about 12 inches then and is now around 27inches the other 2 i got 2 years ago and a size of 2 or 3 inches they are about 18 inches (not accurate) now. growth is great in there first year or upto the 2 foot mark but then ive had considerable drop in growth which is frustrating not sure if its just cos there in captivity and arnt reaching the sizes they are in the wild or its cos there not doing aswell in the pond as i want.they would feed great in the tank but since in the pond they are really spookish i think its now im looking over the top of them, soon as shadow hits the water there gone and they will now only feed when lights are really dim or in complete darkness.would be interested in seeing yours and its behaviour? Which of your tanks is yours in?

Mine's been growing in a 240 gal. Eats like there is no tomorrow. Knows when and how the food is coming. Ignores pellets, takes only thawed fish. Takes with gusto, often until the mouth is chuck full. Swallows. If any food still around, inhales them too. Sometimes does this weird thing where it goes into the farthest tank corner away from me when I turn off the pump and drop food but comes around in 10-15 sec to start eating.

No interaction with any tank mates - leerii, wolf, tigrinus, etc.

Does not do much of anything else. At 1.5' I hope to try it in a 4500 gal with the "bad" gang - 2 jaus, 3 TSN, 2 RTC, 3 pacu, 1 peacock bass, 3 arowana, 1 TSN x achara.

Will try to shoot a video, if you'd like. Won't be too easy but should be doable.

Yeah a vid will be great! Im abit worried about my smaller 2 with the catfish but they are very quick and nimble im sure with the growth your getting it will soon be ok in your large tank (which is a great collection of catfish).interesting about its feeding habits i forgot to mention mine will prefer to take food as its falling through the water column very rare for them to take food off the bottom as if they prefer live to dead foods.....my largest will still take pellets

Sounds exactly as my peacock bass thinks "Once you hit the bottom, you are "dead" to me".

My barramundi too snatches them while they sink but once on the bottom he comes up to them, stares them down for a few seconds, then inhales them really fast and hard.

Will try to see if I can shoot a not-too-viewer-unfriendly video. My camera stinks and I will have to work on lighting too.
