lates perch turning pale help asap

came home from vacation at 5:00 this morning, and my big eye perch was extremely pale, did a water change at like 5:15 and just had to do another one at like 9 because he's getting pale again,
he is eating but he is sitting in the corners of tank and not eating as aggresively

any help would be great iv seen a similar thing with a friends royal nile and it died i realy dont want to see that happen to this fish

he is back to normal after 3 water changes iv had no problems since

My silver veil angelfish turns pale when it's stressed. Maybe yours was stressed from bad water?
