Check out the pictures from my latest trip. Arrived at the lake at around 6:00 AM before sunrise and fished till 2:00 PM catching 17 total fish. The bass were all caught trolling with jointed shad raps near shore up and down an arm of Lake Shasta. The trout and salmon were caught no farther than 20 feet from where a creek flows into the lake. I caught 4 trout ranging from 3-5 pounds, one kokkanee salmon of 6 pounds and 5 bass in the 2-4 pound range (spotted bass). Any questions or comments please feel free to add, just keep it clean please.
Thanks,
-I<3fish.

i love trout and i even eat the skin.

salmon on the other hand i hate when cooked, but love it raw.

you got food for a few weeks thats good. around here we got sunny and bass if we are lucky lol.

Nice fish!!

Shame they're all dead - do you guys normally take everything you catch?

Here in Ireland catch & release is heavily promoted so most fish are released.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Ah, nope, we just keep the large ones, this was food for 7 people in about two sittings, hehe. The lake is called Shasta Lake and it is very large and there are so many fish that it makes awesome fishing.

As long as you eat em. Regaurdless of the lake size catch and release is always good. Its best to put the nice monsters back. They dont taste as good either. But they do look good in photo's.

dang just you catch all them fish?

That's quite a catch! I love Kokanee, but I've never caught any much bigger than a couple pounds... :(

Yeah, that kokkanee was a beast.
We ate all the fish hehe.
