Before the weekly water change, so the water is sort of brown from the dritfwood. Everybody is doing fine, except the Spectables, which still have a bit of ich yet, but it's going away with the temp at 87 degrees.

My favorite are the argentea and the mayan. can you give us the full stocking list

that driftwood is sick, yea that will leach tannins till 2050! haha.worth it,makes such a nice display.are you planning to keep everyone? maybe trouble as they get to adult/breeding sizes, have they breed yet?

They really get along nicely, except for the Mayan and the Texas. They have some wicked fights, but nobody has been hurt yet, or backed down yet. It might get interesting in the future. The tank is 96 by 32 by 30.

Current stock in this tank right now:

2 Flowerhorns
6 gold/red severums
1 red severum
1 green severum
1 Midas
1 Mayan
1 Texas
1 Bocourti
1 convict
4 vieja regani
2 vieja argentea
1 synodontis cat
1 spectable
1 Managuense
1 Firemouth
9 tinfoil barbs
1 Tiger Shovelnose Cat
1 Jack Dempsey

So far, so good, but as these guys get larger I'm sure I will have to make some adjustments. Plus I'm getting more fish soon. Plus I have a 55 growout tank with more Texas, Umbees, bocourtis, and Zonatus. :)

I have another 125 cycled and ready to go, and looking at a couple more tanks as well. I want another huge show tank once another one pops up. White, those are probably my favorite too at the moment. Eventually I will move the red/yellow severums to another tank to see if they breed. I haven't had these guys all that long, so none have bred yet.

The driftwood IS sick! $140 a piece! I bought 3 and had to drive to WI to get them. The huge rock is on top of one of them because it is so buoyant yet. Any less than that 50 pound rock and it floats. The other one sinks now, but they both leech quite a bit still. I do water changes about 100 gallons twice a week, mainly for the brown water. Nitrates seem to be pretty low and accumulate slowly. I have a huge sump on this tank with tons of lava rock and bio balls in it. Once these driftwood stay sinking I will rearrange the tank again. Plus now I have to deal with these Flowerhorns digging up the gravel. They have already dug deep enough under one of the rocks to make it fall over, and there are holes everywhere now.

Yep. I couldn't find anybody around here with any even close to this size no matter the price. Maybe I could have saved 20 bones on each one shopping around somewhere, but I didn't want to wait and have it take even longer to set it up and start the leeching process. I about had a heart attack when he told me the prices, but it is what it is. I'm an impatient fool. lol
