lava/lace rock in stingray tanks

Hi I have a big box of lace/lava rock and I wanted to know if I could use a couple pieces of it in a stingray tank. Thanks

Its hard to recommend this rock with rays because its jagged and may cut the underside of the ray or even if they pass under it, it can scrape the top side and possibly cause an infection due to water quality.

Never use lace/lava rock with rays. A few years ago i've killed one with this type of rocks because i didn't knew nothing about rays. She cut her self. In a few days she was dead.

so you know alot of lava rocks can leach metals into your tank. Like the laverock stones you buy from you local hardware store..
