Mile High in Northern AZ, baby!~
I know there is a type of Lava Rock sold that is actually "slag" from Steel production, that is no good for aquaria.

I have a couple of these pieces I'd like to chisel out to make some caves...

They been sitting outside for over a year in the weather, and have not changed color at all...

Is this the good stuff or the bad stuff? Anybody know?

Pumice:[puhm-is]
Light-colored, frothy volcanic rock, usually of dacite or rhyolite composition, formed by the expansion of gas in erupting lava. ...

Question is:
Is this safe for aquaria?....

Rhyolite:Volcanic rock (or lava) that characteristically is light in color, contains 69 percent silica or more, and is rich in potassium and sodium.

can you get it out of the sunlight??? an snap some more pix?

Looks porous to me

Where did you get it from, has it always just been sitting in your yard?
