well has anyone else tried a layer tank?
Stocked with fish that sit at the bottom/middle/top
I Currently have
Clown Loaches
Catfish(assorted..)
Ghost Knife
all on the bottom with there own turf,
In the middle i have 3 fresh water puffers..
and on the top i have 4 Hujeta gar,
it has been working really well for the last few weeks,
no fin nipping no fighting or killing,
i throw sinking pellets for the cats and loaches
and brine shrimp/blood worms (frozen) for the other fish and the cats and loaches eat anything that falls, + i throw in 3dozen guppes 3x a week aswell!
the tank is also heavily planted in the back and has a bunch of drift wood and rocks posisioned to make caves and such too,
its quite a fun tank to watch for hours
