Lazy Endlii?!

my 14" endli is lazy as anything, he lays around all day long, swims around a bit a night but sucks during the day lol pattern is kinda faded as well like pale. any ideas? hes in with 2 cichla,jardini and dat, no one bothers him

How big is the tank? How big are the other fish?

I think it's possible that it might be more active with fewer mid/top water fish. More room to swim about without interference. Might be that no one bothers him because he's learned to stay out of their section of the tank. The faded/pale pattern could be due to the color of the substrate and decoration, or it could be from stress due to the other fish.

From everything I've read about Jardini's, I'd try removing it to see if that perks up your Endli.

That's just how Endli's act. I wouldn't be concerned.

What color is your substrate? If it's light colored, that's probably why he has faded.

yea pool filter sand his stripes are faded. no one bothers him hes the biggest in the tank.

I've got 3 10" to 12" endlis in the same tank and two are dark and one is faded and it doesn't get stressed so I just put it down to the individual fish,as for being lazy,well mine seem more active when there are more of them.
