I have a young retic that seems to have gotten lazy. When she comes out of her little cave to hunt, I usually drop her a worm in, then she moves around a little bit and then heads back to her cave. Now, she's not really all that active. Should I hold off on feeding so much so that she starts being a little more active?

Thanks Billy

Test your water and nitrate levels as it may be high and might be causing your ray to be lazy and loss of appetite. My pair of rays get lazy and lose their appetite when my nitrate levels rise to high.

Her appetite has not decreased at all. She will continue to eat for as long as I let her. She comes out, I feed her, then she heads back into her little cove. She just doesn't seem as active as what I've saw out of other's rays. I guess it could be possible that she's just sort of laid back.

I checked my nitrates and it was in the neighborhood between 20 and 30.

There are some ghost shrimp that she didn't eat, that have sort of taken up house. Then I have some Apple snails, but that's it. She eats really well and has put on a lot of weight, so I guess she just isn't keen on moving around a whole lot.
