Got my plumbing almost done on my 450 but I have a slow leak on my return bulk heads. I have a washer on the inside of the over flow box and the threads are taped. I tried silicone but it still leaks. Any ideas???

Thanks

Take it all apart and start over. Make sure to clean off the silicone very well. There's a burr or something on the threads preventing it from sealing properly or your washer is bad.....either way you need to take it apart and see what the problem is. You can try quick seal methods but in the long run you might regret it...

Thats a fair assessment, & one id perform.

Take into account, unless it drips on the floor, bulkheads can potentially seal themselves, rubber becomes further pliable and fixed, & crystalline effects of evep can sometime plug a small breach by itself.

Wrapping the threads won't help a bit. They have nothing to do with sealing other than they apply the pressure to the gasket.

I would suggest trying a different gasket material. I have made my own from old rubber inner tubes. I think buying a sheet of cork or rubber gasket material from an auto supply place would work as well.

the gasket ALWAYS goes on the flange side of the bulkhead, regardless of whether that is on the inside or outside of tank.

just sayin incase you have it wrong.

He has a good point... the gasket will be inside the tank, not on the outside. (presuming you're installing it from the inside.)
