Leaking hob filter (aquaclear)

hey guys i just noticed my ac100 is slowly destroying our wall.
i noticed water from the floor today and from further inspection i saw a part of the gypsum wall rotting coz of water, i touched the filter and it is wet.

what u guys think the prob is?
anyway, i took cleaned it out and reassembled it.

Where is it leaking from? Shouldn't be leaking anywhere but potentially from where the motor attaches to the bottom of the plastic...or from the lid if the unit isn't sitting level...

Id mount it on the front of the tank and run it so you can get a better look at it while running and see where the leak is

i think its leaking from the motor.

Clean it really well.. if it's still leaking then put a very thin layer of silicone or try to find a thin and I mean paper thin gasket that will fit in between the motor and the housing...

When they get dirty, the tray holding the sponge floats to the top, and water caroms over the top in a tiny spot. (learned this the hard way ) It could be the motor, but that would be visible if you can see the back of the tank while it is running...

just checked it thoroughly...
found a small crack. errrrr

sealed it w/ silicone. hope it do the job.

silicone doesn't work well on plastic. I had this happen with a brand new emp 280 I used a epoxy glue to seal it from the outside.
