hey guys my 125 sprung a leak in a small section of the top molding, my plan is to just do an early water change, dry the area that leaks with a hair dryer and put some new silicone in. That should be good right? First leaker ive ever had

You'd have to leave the water level down for a couple days (until the vinegar smell is gone) for the silicone to cure.
I would inspect it a little closer and find out why it's leaking.
Is the silicone bubbling, peeling, or damaged?
If it's from old age you would be better off resealing the entire tank.
A patch may hold for a while, but it will leak again.
New silicone does not adhere very well to cured silicone.

ok il check it out, i think it was from when we were moving a few months ago and my helper tried to pick it up from the molding, i never noticed it til now cuz its a really small trickle and i noticed a small wet spot on the carpet, and to be honest sometimes when doing water changes il cut it off an inch or so from the top
