I've got a glass 225 that is 5/8"thick that i'm in the process of resealing i have a few questions if anyone can help.
1. The tank is 72x24x28 the bottom is barely reachable would the tank be strong enought for someone to get in side it to cut out the old bottom seam of silicone? Any other ideas?
2. At what point should you completely tear down the tank and reseal everthing? I worry about the strength of the seams if it is leaking already.
3. What size should the seam be that i put back in?
Thanks

-it might be.. depends on the person.. i wouldnt/couldnt do it... try putting it on a table and turning it on its side then you can lean in.. a much better idea than standing in it.. if you dont have a table that big use the stand.. or the floor..

-on a tank that size i would redo the whole thing.. imo a few hours of work now and $20(whatever) is a lot better than weeks and weeks of redoing half the house and paying out thousands to recarpet/drywall/ect

-1/2"-3/4" somewhere around there.. im a fan of "extra" and "wide" when it comes to resealing..

ok thanks. is the tank weakend by the inside corner seams being taken out?i'm just wondering if its strong enough with them cut out to be layed on it side?

if you remove the stuff thats holding the tank together yes the tank will not be held together verywell....

stacking books is a easy way to support tanks.. if you have a lot of books that is... if you dont have a lot of books... uhhhh... i dunno.. old vhs tapes?
