So I picked up a 55 gallon aquarium for free. It leaks, and the glass isn't in great shape and the trim was trash. SO. What should I use it for?

Giant ant farm

That would indeed be a giant ant farm, sweet idea I never thought of. But...I get enough ants I don't want to try and build a home for ants. Any other ideas out there?

Seal it and breed guppies/goldfish...lol idk

you can always put a little work in and fix it up and seal it & use it
or you can use it for a herp/reptile tank. a nicely setup vivarium
can be used a nice display in a living room or something :) orrr
you can take it outside with a hammer and release some stress
on it.. lol

Haha I am set for fish at the moment with 4 aquariums, the 300gallon pond keeps me busy enough. Im starting to lean towards filling it with some sand, rock, and mini cacti but I don't know where I could keep it inside in the winter :-/

you can use uv lights that are on the stronger end when you keep it inside they uv lights for reptiles and they have different watts and output.
while you make a tank with sand and a cacti you throw in some driftwood and a lizard or something and bam you got a nice little herp setup :) lol

Was doing some exploring and would really like to get an armadillo lizard but if I build a turtle table I won't ahve room for anything else.
