I am currently running a wet/dry sump at around 1600g/h, so my bio filtration is excellent, but floating debris not going through my overflows is driving me crazy.

So, I recently purchased a used Magnum 350 as a polishing filter for my 125g. The only problem is I cant get the top to stop leaking to save my life!

Everything looks to be in working order IE: has all gaskets and O-rings, no cracks in the top, although the O-ring to the top is a little loose.

I have tried everything I can think of to try and seal it including: Vasiline (I read that it helps create an airtight seal), trying with and without the media basket and even tried taking industrial strength tape and wrapping it from bottom-to-top as tight as I could and it still has a beads of water drip out the top.

At this point I only run it a couple hours at a time when I can watch it closely and do not run it when I'm not home. Its sitting in a 5g bucket so I dont ruin my stand or floors.

I have ordered a new O-ring for the top and will try that when it comes in the mail (5-9 business days, doh!), so I will try that when it comes.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated. It works great other than this leak that I just cant seem to fix.

awsome, thanks for the replys. Now, I can have some confidence waiting for the new O-ring to come.
