I've got a python that's only a month or so old... and it sucks in air bubbles at the shutoff valve when emptying, and leaks a steady stream of water when refilling. Is this common?

The stupid thing is already on the slow side for emptying my tank, the air bubble leakage only makes it worse.

tighten the shutoff, maybe add a washer or silicone. the hose is probably not pushed all the way up in the shut off.

I've had that happen when I got sand in it and turned the shutoff......... I cracked it. Make sure it has no cracks, and the hoses are tight. I had to replace my fitting though.

Nah I figured it out. I removed the phillips screw from the valve and popped the handle off - the O-ring seal was all out of place, so I re-seated it and now she's golden. Thanks!

Neccessity the mother of invention. Good job.:headbang2
