Hey guys so I have a new baby serra. I believe he is a Rhom according to the guy I bought him for but he is to small to tell atm. Anyways. This is my first piranha. He eats great for me, usually takes 2 blood worms in the morning, afternoon, and then again at night. Anyways he has a lean. It is not always there but every now and then he will be leaning sideways in the water, instead of siting in the water column and being completely vertical. I hope that makes sense. Is this normal?

I've personally seen juvie piranha thàt had the lean. As for feeding the bloodworms imo are not enough, add more to diet .

Thats right now what he likes the most is why its what he eats. Ive been feeding him Super Carnivore. Sometimes he eats the shrimp also other times just the bloodworm. Yesterday he did eat a piece of Omega One Cichlid Flake, but today turned it down when I tried to give him that. What else would you recommend?

Whenever I've seen a lean, it's in fish such as Angels; that are apparently sensitive to the source of light, which in nature tends to be overhead throughout the day.

If I had my room light on, I found that my angels would lean heavily toward it; until I put the tank overhead light on instead.

Of course, it might be something else entirely.

Don't worry OP. All my serras have a lean: juvies to adults. Probably the only serra I don't see leaning is my elong. But my rhom and mac always have a lean here and there.
