So, I had purchased a 40gal and iron stand from a lfs a while back, and had determined that when the time came, I would get another 40 to put on the bottom shelf (seemed like a logical decision). Well 40gal, filter, lid and light later I come to find that it does not fit (conventionally) under the other. Its too high, and the metal tapers in at the top, I've got it rigged in there sloppy for now, but some big changes are planned.
I guess next time a lfs store owner tells you "yeah, it'll fit under there" I've got to figure he stands to make some money off me if it works.
