I think this was brought up not too long ago, but I can't seem to find the thread.

What does everyone think of this woman? She often goes by "danceswithsavs" on the many forums she joins. She's an advocate for turning your monitors into little puppy-dogs, but her practices arer rumored to be unsavory in the least (i.e. drowning her lizards to efforts to build trust, etc). She also claims her monitors are some of the fastest-growing ones out there, but yet constantly fails to provide sufficient data/proof of her husbandry practices.

What you do think? Here is a link to her youtube account: http://youtube.com/user/kaffir2

Lots of nasty things have been said, but where are the rumors coming from? Has she admitted to drowning her lizards or something?

Thanks for that link. I know it was brought up recently; just didn't see it during my search, I guess.

I did stumble across this from someone's else site. Allegedly, these people wrote this in their journal before "editing" it (hmm...I wonder why):

"We decided to put him in the bathtub with deep water in order to exhaust him and then be the 'heroes' that 'rescue' him......"

"....After 5 minutes or so, he flipped on his back, head underwater, and remained still. This was a frightening image, as we had lost a monitor to drowning and found his corpse in the same pose...."

"We are, ourselves, upset over this inexplicable defensive behaviour, not only because it violated our expectations, but also because this is not behaviour that is compatible with living as a pet and he would have to be kept as a breeding specimen if he keeps it up."

I remember having a sav once. He had a great disposition...and heck, I didn't even have to drown him!

Agreed. I have looked at many threads on various forums involving that user...its always the same thing. A few will agree with the actions, while most will condemn it. DWS's will post a few graphs of random data to justify the actions, claim it was in some journal. And then the thread gets locked.
The videos creep me out and the entire concept is disheartening.
