Just started feeding my 4 inch RTC some freeze dried krill and have noticed that he hides for about a day or so before emerging from his cave. When I was feeding him some blood worms I would see him everyday...Is this normal???

Yeah, that's normal. I would HIGHLY recommend soaking the F.D. krill in water(from the tank) for 5-10 minutes before feeding, allowing to swell and expand first. Sometimes the fish gobbles up the krill too quickly and the krill will swell in the stomach of the fish, potentially causing bloat or other major internal damage. I've seen it happen! I believe this is far more important with small fish as opposed to larger fish with bigger stomachs.

Good Advice about soaking, Never even thought of that...

Did you get my PM with the info you needed for the mailing list?

Scott

Yes I did Scott, thank you. You are in the system for the next mail-out, probably for the sale the weekend following Thanksgiving. I'm going to find out this weekend if I can get a smaller RTC X TSN for you for next Monday;).

My new little rtc vanished ?? (at leat I thought so ) then I found him under the lace rock structure that is in the tank . he dug himself a cave like a cichlid would . Strange I though to my self but then again he is the smallest fish in the tank .Kinda intelligent now that I think of it.
