So I'm leaving for my last Winter break before I move back home permanently after college but I was wondering what would be the best way to take care of my 9in male dovii and 6in female? I know automatic feeders are an option but which are the best for a period where I will be gone for around two weeks? THANKS!

Feeding isn't a problem for you, but I think water change would be. They can survive for a period of two weeks without water, and additionally you can also reduce the temperature. However, I am not sure if they would be OK without a water change.

if the filtration is fine then they will be fine...
I leave my fish for 2 weeks.... when i travel back home to south africa...
I get my neighbor to feed them once in the two weeks.... and the rest is up to the filters (zeolite & carbon included) to take care of...

just power feed them for the last couple of weeks before the trip... then do a massive waterchange before you go.... perhaps a filter change a month before that but not sooner

they should be fine if you give them a good feed before you leave. also they will be fine for 2 weeks without a water change so long as you have decent filters.

there should be no problem. if anything, maybe get someone to feed a prepared package of food some point in the halfway mark during your time away

Large water change the day before departing. Ask a friend to give them a fresh prawn twice a week. They'll live, don't stress about it.

One suggestion though. Divide them whislt your gone. We all know the fast, dramatic change in temperamant these larger C/A's potentially pocess. Best not to risk two week's without supervision.

Again with emphesis, they'll handle your absence no wukker's.;)
