 For all who care, I will be leaving :(:cry:MFK on May 30 due to starting a new job. :nilly:The time that I would have to stop in would be family time as I will be away from home for months at a time in the Northern Atlantic Ocean :screwy::screwy: and the Bering Sea :screwy::screwy: working as a Alaskan Groundfish Observer. :headbang2:headbang2 I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone on the forum for a great 3 years (and I only have 165 posts to show for it).:hitting::hitting:

Thank-you, EVERYONE!!!

Phillip Tobin:banhim:

Do they not have a library where you are going? I bid you adieu, but I think you will still be here at heart, and in the future :)

I'm sorry you will be leaving, but am glad you got such a great job. God bless you, and stay strong man. You are forever a true monster fish keeper

Build up your posts until then!! There's no sayin' you won't come back, and I have a feeling they won't be deleting your username or anything haha. I think a lot of us(i.e. me) would appreciate some stories/pictures of your research and observations, so if you've ever got the time, make sure to stop back!

I don't think they ever delete usernames. I wanted to be Onion, but some guy who hasn't posted since early '05 already had it :irked:

Sorry Bigspizz, there is no internet on a fishing boat.

 I will try to get on from time to time when I am home to post pictures and leave stories.

My job is to get fish counts, collect scales and otoliths, monitor mammal and bird interactions aboard a fishing vessel while they are fishing. After watching Deadliest Catch I am sure I will have some interesting stories to tell. I will be out on assignment over Thanks-giving and may not be home for Christmas.

Start a thread when you get back and just refresh it and add to it when you can, it will get stickied in no time! Who knows, instead of leaving you will probably become famous on the boards!

wish you the best of luck with your future and your trip
