I love the look of my LED's (just standard) by themselves without the 6500K, however I don't want to under- or over light my plants as I always battle with algae (mostly because my kids love to watch them eat and we overfeed)..... regardless, do my plants get anything from the LED lighting?

They seem to do fine with 9-10 hours under the 6500K....... If I had the LED by themselves for another 4 or 5 hours would that have an influence, or is LED lighting just an entirely different wavelength in regards to plant growth.

I'm relatively new at the aqua-horticulture (though I like it almost as much as the fish), so excuse the ignorance please ;)

In my custom 10 gal planted axolotl tank I bought led detail lights for cars. There super bright white and give off no heat. My plants all grow brilliantly don't know what rating they are thou
