I was wondering if anyone has bucked up and bought PFO's Solaris LED lamps ( PFO's Solaris LED Lighting Systems)for there reef tank yet. I've been thinking about it but they're so expensive but they sound so cool literally. From what I've read so for it may eliminate the need for a chiller and the leds last so much longer than bulb. Take a look and tell me what you guys think.

Those LED lighting systems are really good if you are Keeping lower light SPS and LPS. They also work well for softies too. y buddy has the 48" version and the PAR output was pretty good. When they come out with a 5 watt version I think that will be awesome for a all SPS reef! As far as the unit. You are paying for the programming. One unit has all the Kelvin ranges 65k-20k also you can program in cloud cover and other neat things. But overall it's pretty nice.
