LED Light Question

I have decided on LED's for my new 600 gallon 96x48x30 and was wondering if I should go double bright (reef) considering the 30" height?

It will be a simple freshwater set up with light colored sand and a bunch of monsters, no plants.

A lot of people are having good luck with beamswork LED's from eBay, they have a double bright option.
