Will this fixture be enough for a 40 gallon breeder tank saltwater tank. its going to be a frag tank.

I don't see why not. It has a real high lumen rating so it should be real bright.

Im just thinking of the coverage. Its only 16" wide, do you think that will be able to cover the whole tank

Probably not on a 36" tank.

if it's suspended above a little it should be fine. I have a 48" light on a 72" tank and it's fine.
