Almost done getting all my gear for my 210 gallon tank. Wondering what leds you guys recommend. I got a silver arowana, shoal of silver dollars, a few plecos, hoplias intermedius/lac-not sure species, red wolf fish (he might stay in my 55).thinking of doing black sand and drift wood was going to do plants too but my silver dollars eat them like theyre free. Anyway any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

What are you looking for in your fixture? Just accent lighting? If money is no object I'd recommend the orbit by Current (pro would be overkill). Remote control operated, programmable and preset programs, independently-dimmable white and blue LED's to get the color you want, does clouds and storms. Grows plants too! Expect to pay $300-400 or so for a 48" fixture.

Oh whoa I didn't know they offered a less-powerful fixture than the orbits! Those are very affordable!

I'm very happy with my current satellite plus light had it for around 18 months now no problems with it , defo worth ordering the ramp timer with it too.
I've just ordered a second 48" fixture as they are affordable and good valve for money when you think about how much a 48" t5 bulb would cost to replace alone

I have a buildmyled.com fixture on my 235. Grea5 spectrum, dimmable and only having 1 6' fixture on top of the tank really cleaned up the clutter. Had 3 satellite + fixtures before the bml but 1 died at around 18 months and another just after a year.

No don't go for any high end lighting. buy 2 or 3 MR120 off eBay, they are dimmable and full spectrum. the actinic make color pop. great lights

There are some pretty good DIY setups on youtube. I myself was thinking about getting 2x 16 ft RGBW strands and wrapping them around 2 PVC pipes and putting them in a PVC gutter. Not sure if it will be sufficient though.
