I'm not interested in growing plants , what lights are you guys using on your 6' to 8' long tanks to highlight your fish ?
Any shadow issues say on an 8x2x2 tank ?
Pics would be appreciated ....tnx

I have a 4’ full spectrum beamswork led light on my 6’ 135g tank.

I like the shadowing on both ends.
It looked even better when the back wall had nothing on it. I thought it might look natural if I left it alone. I was wrong. Lol. This tank just grows ugly brown algae.
I only turn the light on to view the fish. The algae isn’t from the light.
I really like how the fish look under the full spectrum light.

Thanks.
I have beamswork on all my tanks. They are nice and cheaper then a lot of lights out there.

Another beamswork user here. All of my tanks have them. I have the 6ft on my 125. I'm been thinking of going to a shorter like to see how it looks, the 6ft unit is bright.

I'm using these. There's a build log post floating around somewhere here.

I have a 8x2x2 running 2x finnex 24/7. Awesome lighting that will light up every inch of your tank with different color modes:

But, I also like dim center lit tanks that produces edge shadows. It gives the impression of an infinite swimming area and spotlight effect:

That's a great looking pair you have there. My lights are the old school type with the single long bulb. I have both full spectrum and the plant bulbs on hand. Do you feel the full spectrum is the way to go? I really don't need plants as I have Africans.
I've been trying to decide what to use for a while. In transition mode as far as scaping goes. Gonna do something soon. Just a few more things to acquire.
