I've been out of the hobby for many years and am thinking about jumping back in. I've done a search here but am not able to find any info (it's probably common knowledge) about how led lights are used inside of a canopy? This would be for freshwater fish only. Thanks

People use all sorts of lights in their canopy not just led. It can be used for fresh or salt

Hello; I have modified my hoods to use LED lights. If you canopy uses the old fluorescent tubes there are now LED tubes that fit. I have one in use.

Thanks, I no longer have the old light fixtures, just an empty canopy now. Can anyone with a canopy give me suggestions for lighting within it starting from scratch?

Here is what I ended up doing in mine. Bought two led grow lights from LBS and a standard led shop light. I also purchased a 24hr timer so they shut off at 3pm and turn back on at 7am.
