thanks. the guy on ebay has them on a reef tank.for the 50 watt there $100 each. thinking of starting with one just to see how they work
I know an LFS herethat uses these LED lights...
Yes the 50W are super bright, but the problem is they tend to focus light on one area, so they dont have a very wide spread if its for a planted tank...
Otherwise they do look good but would likely need a few to get good light coverage over the whole tank...

Tip: if it has the pinkish glow and does not indicate super red as its color scheme, it is bad. Most SMT LEDs nowadays offer 180° coverage. Discreet LEDs don't.
