LED lights?

Sounds good. Im guessing ur corner tank has some good depth. Having 36" quad should do the trick. Not worrying about money is nice :)

I worry about money just fine - I was just saying wondering if it would be a good idea in the the first place. I'm hearing from stores that they're great, but my buddy says they don't give a true cast of color.

The cost benefit of LED's is their lower running cost and that the bulbs don't need replacing every year like t5's, some people, like myself, don't particularly like the spectrum they offer

I too am looking into LED's for a 31" deep 300g tank and I have read that more LED's doesn't mean deeper penetration, just more light to the same depth. Would love a confirmation either way. Also read that some LED's have optics that focus the light more down than spread out? I find light choosing to be very confusing.

Chiroken, you are correct about the light penetration. I believe lumens is the term you need to pay attention to when choosing lights that penetrate deep into water. The more lumens the deeper penetration (someone please correct/confirm).

I was going to get LED lights, but ended up moving and needing to tear down the tanks. They will be set back up once my wife and I find a house to buy!! Then I will finalize my decision and purchase. I was considering the Beamswork LEDs, just wasn't sure if I wanted the double or single bright. For your deep tank, I would think double bright (reef bright) would be best.
